The Know No Project

After the highly publicized Brock Turner sexual assault case, a small team of creatives in Chicago came together to start an educational movement about consent on college campuses that didn’t pull any punches.

With no budget, we set out to create an an undeniably clear message that anything but a “yes’ is a “no”. No matter the circumstances.

We created a simple, black and white digital experience with info about consent and consent laws, places to find resources for victims, a social aggregator that gathered all posts about KnowNo, and a quiz that offers up situations in which consent has come into question. The quizzes were completed by people all over the world.

Hint: everything but a clear "yes" is a no.

We even created “KnowNo” kits that included downloadable posters, guidelines, and discussion resources for how people could stage their own demonstration and create meaningful dialogues.
